  8. hunkashoo on February 9, 2010 at 2:27 pm

Yes, the $30 data plan is required

  9. GreazyMuhfoh on February 9, 2010 at 2:50 pm

if you dont have internet on these kinds of phones theres no point in having one .

  10. dhamptoh on February 9, 2010 at 3:44 pm

You need a data plan for this phone. For verizon it will be the palm data plan costing $30 a month. This is a required fee, and you also need a gmail account

I got this phone and I love it. It’s my first smartphone but I learned the ropes pretty quick. I don’t miss having a physical keyboard at all.

You just told me what I had already known. I was just stating how pissed it makes me that people tell others that you NEED a blackberry plan. thats all…

  19. KarateGurl1996 on February 9, 2010 at 7:51 pm

you dont need a blackberry plan there is a difference and the only difference between a data plan and a normal plan is internet and more access and about ten dollars…a blackberry plan is about fifty dollars more then a regular plan and no you cant have a standard plan because then you have to delete just about everything about that fone…

I just got this phone, and it is the coolest thing ever!!! it is such a nice phone, and the battery life is great and a few simple tricks. I love it, i would recommend this phone to everyone.

Im getting this phone tommorrow!!! = )

  22. magiccatz on February 9, 2010 at 9:44 pm

i tried to do that today, i was hoping i could just get my data through wifi. They make you get the 30$ plan.

  23. smarttechmouse on February 9, 2010 at 9:53 pm

I know it would be the practical and smart thing to do, but I’m tired of people saying you HAVE to get a data plan…that’s all. Great review by the way!

  24. CellPhoneTrek on February 9, 2010 at 10:15 pm

it might not be required however as the phone is so data heavy it would be a mistake and travesty to corral the phone into such a limited corner.

  25. smarttechmouse on February 9, 2010 at 10:18 pm

why does everybody say that!? you don’t need the 30$ blackberry plan! you just need any standard plan of your choice!
